Biltmore

Just another shot from my walk around Providence yesteday morning. I particularly light the light gradation across the subtly curving front of the building. A curve which, until yesterday, I never really noticed.

Hoods

On an early morning walk around town I found these covered lights which, taken out of context , could really give the wrong impression of our town.

LoompaDeDoo

A place we stumbled past featuring elegant roof sculpture and more... ummm... foreshortened wall-top sculpture.
Oh, and in regards to the post below, did you see Stone Phillips do it on the Colbert Report last night? Since watching it, I haven't been able to get it out of my head. I thought I'd share the madness with the rest of you. Enjoy!

At a minute or two 'til two

Oh what to do to die today at a minute or two 'til two
A thing distinctly hard to say yet harder still to do
For they'll beat a tattoo at twenty to two
With a rattatta tattatta tattatta too
And the dragon will come when he hears the drum
At a minute or two 'til two today
At a minute or two 'til two.

Molto Grafitti

A lesser common route taken to Venice led to some very scenic industry and grafitti.

Road In

Here is a view of Pyramid Lake. My absolute favorite view along the long road to Burning Man.

Dome

I huge inflatable dome/nightclub in the middle of the desert in the middle of the night. Lit by blacklights and green lasers. Very cool.

Sunrise

Let me tell you something about getting up before the sun at Burning Man. It's cold. Really cold. Fleece hat (with earflaps) wish-I-had-gloves cold.
But we bundled up, got out of the tent, rode our creaky bikes, and found this. Not a bad way to start the day.

Eye

I chose this shot in favor of ones with better overall exposure because I was really liking how the variations in light led my eye around. While it initially seemed too dark, there was this sense of "getting used to it" as you would in a dim room. I found the longer I looked at it, the more detail I could see, and I, personally, liked that. What do you think?
